Summer House Patio is a Pacific Northwest retailer specializing in high-quality outdoor furniture and accessories, serving customers with durable patio tables, umbrellas, fire pits, lounge seating, and more. Built on a commitment to exceptional customer service and curated product selection, the company was strengthened in 2022 through acquisition by Seldens Designer Home Furnishings, uniting two design-focused organizations with a shared dedication to quality and community. With showrooms in Bellevue and Tacoma and knowledgeable staff ready to assist with design and custom order options, Summer House helps customers create outdoor living spaces that are both beautiful and built to withstand the region’s varied weather conditions.
Seldens initially reached out to Bighorn to perform an audit and provide recommendations for the implementation of Summer House Patio’s ecommerce website on the Shopify 2.0 platform. This included implementing a custom ERP connector between Shopify and the Storis ERP system.
Bighorn partnered with Seldens to assess Summer House Patio’s Shopify 2.0 implementation and define a clear path forward for a scalable, integrated ecommerce platform. Following a detailed audit, Bighorn provided concrete recommendations to align site architecture, data flow, and operational requirements with Shopify 2.0 best practices.
A key focus of the engagement was the design and implementation of a custom integration between Shopify and the Storis ERP system. This ensured accurate synchronization of product data, inventory, and order information between ecommerce and in-store operations. By addressing integration requirements early and aligning the platform with existing business processes, Bighorn helped establish a reliable commerce foundation that supports both online growth and showroom operations while minimizing operational complexity.
Summer House Patio operates across both ecommerce and physical showrooms, where product accuracy, inventory visibility, and reliable order flow are critical to the customer experience. The platform needed to support large, configurable products, regional inventory, and in-store fulfillment workflows without creating friction for customers or staff.
By pairing Shopify 2.0 with a custom Storis ERP integration, which now also is integrated with their parent site Seldens.com as well, the ecommerce experience remains aligned directly with real-world operations. Product data, inventory, and orders flow consistently between systems, reducing manual work and minimizing the risk of errors. This allows the Summer House team to focus on service, design consultation, and sales rather than troubleshooting data issues.
The result is a commerce foundation that supports both online growth and showroom operations, giving Summer House Patio the flexibility to scale without compromising accuracy, performance, or the high-touch customer experience the brand is known for.
